Lots more wiring is done. I tested the parking lights, brake lights, and head lights. Everything seems to work ok. The only thing not working is the hazard and turn signals. I think this is because I got the wrong diodes or hooked them up backwards. All the wires are tucked away and trimmed to length. Tomorrow's plan is to rivit as many aluminum panels as possible.

Almost finished with the dash wiring. I'm short a couple of crimp connectors and shrink wrap.

Well, I'm long over due for an update. So, here goes...

Nothing really major has been done to the car in the last 5 weeks. There are 4 reasons for this.

1. My Dad had a heart attack in early April. He ended up having quadruple bypass surgery, and has recovered wonderfully. I spent lots of time visiting him in the hospital for the 8 days he was there. My dad is an amazing guy, he never once complained about anything, and was very laid back and calm about everything. My mom is also tough as nails, as she kept it together through the whole ordeal. I on the other hand, am I wimp, I freaked out, was stressed out, supper upset and depressed about the whole thing.

2. The wife and kid took me on a vacation to Virginia for a week.

3. Work sent me to Washington D.C. for 2 weeks.

4. I'm scared of wiring.

Now, onto what did get done. I took the car out after bleeding the brakes and making some other adjustments, and managed to lock them up with out too much effort. So, for now, I'm going to lay the brake issue to rest.

I installed the speedo cable, but on my test drive it was binding, therefor was all jumpy. I found out what was binding it up, and adjusted for it. Hopefully there will be another test drive soon, to see if it works right now.

I started to clean up the wiring in the engine bay, and the wiring running to the rear of the car. As soon as I get it all cleaned up, I'll be able to rivit the trunk panels.

I started wiring up the gauges, I think, I have them right, and now am staring at the dimmer switch contraption. I need to do some posting/searching on the forum to see what goes where, as the labels on the switch don't correspond to the terminology on the wiring diagram (Of course). I'm holding off soldering and heating the shrink wrap until I've tested everything and it seems to work.
